Damian Gardiner

Damian Gardiner – Managing Director

Since establishing Global Electrotech in the year 2000 with fellow director Tony Martelli, Damian has overseen the growth of the business and instilled his management practices and values throughout the workforce.

Damian has 27 years of experience in the Electrical Contracting & Fire Industries.

He has spent several years in upper management roles at Tyco, based in Perth, Kuala Lumpur & Singapore. During this period he worked on projects such as the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur & the Mobile Oil Refinery and Suntec City projects in Singapore.

Damian is responsible for ensuring that the organisation delivers on the Vision and overall Strategy for the team. Directing the team towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.

 Tony Martelli 1

Tony Martelli – Operations Director

As a co-founder of Global Electrotech, Tony has been instrumental in the growth of our Electrical Projects Division.

Now operating as Operations Director, Tony liaises closely with our Operations Team to ensure that contractual obligations are met, and that all required reporting and monitoring of our preventative maintenance and reactive service works are achieved.

He has 25 years in the electrical industry and has a track record for the successful completion of many of prestigious projects in Western Australia such as:

  • Karratha Leisure Centre.
  • The ‘Ranges’ Karratha.
  • Icon Apartments.
  • Pretty Pool Development.
  • Wickham Recreation Centre.
  • 915 Hay Street Office Tower.
  • Deanmore Primary School.

 Garry Hearn

Garry Hearn – Special Hazards (Business Development & Support)

Garry has 34 years experience in the Electrical Contracting, Instrumentation & Fire Industries. He has worked throughout Australia & SE Asia in Project Management roles, prior to joining Global Electrotech in 2002.

Taking on the Special Hazards role in 2014, Garry works hand in hand with our Business Development & Operations Departments to assist in delivering the right  solution to our clients special hazards needs with multi service tender packages and innovative design initiatives.

He ensures that the relationships formed between ourselves, our clients, and our suppliers remain strong, intact and continuous. Garry’s strong relationships with the suppliers and manufacturers ensures that Global Electrotech is at the forefront of Special Hazard Solutions.

Garry holds a Dept of Energy “A” grade electrical workers licence, RMIT Instrumentation, Qualifications in Programmable Logic Control a FPA Certificate II in fire and Qualifications in Fire Suppression Systems.

 Andrew Evason

Andrew Evason – Operations Manager

Andrew has been at the forefront of our Project Management Team since 2001.

He has been responsible for delivering many of the multimillion dollar projects that Global Electrotech has completed, in both the commercial and resources sectors.

Andrew’s sound management practices, combined with over 25 years of experience in the field, ensure that client communication is at a premium, and that our workforce is coordinated efficiently and safely.

Andrew in addition to extensive experience in the field holds a Dept of Energy “A” Grade electrical workers licence, ACMA Cabling Licence, a Licence to perform High Risk Works.

Andrew has run projects such as:

  • FMG Rail Camp 25A.
  • FMG Rowley Rail Workshops & Infrastructure.
  • Pilbara Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre (Port Hedland)
  • Peak Apartments Adelaide Terrace.
  • Sky Apartments Adelaide Terrace.
